Today we hit 47 ! this was the warmest day since late October, this made for a mess on the roads with alot of standing water.
The Hakka R2's always resist hydoplaning very well, the tread pattern speaks for itself.
When I got home today I planned on taking my oldest son to the neighbors to harvest some Chaga.
His road has a slight incline and with the thawing base i knew i'd be sinking in. The tires pulled up with very litle wheel slip. I didnt feel like once i'd get stuck.
We arrived with no incident to the top of the hill. I strapped on the snowshoes and ventured out on the 3 ft of snow in search of some good birch trees with chaga. I will also note the tires are still quiet on the bare roads.
This is just a spring teaser we still have some winter weather to deal with, its just the way it is in the North Central U.P.
Till next time keep your tires on the ice and the firewood burning!
