Fifty-three percent of drivers don’t know how to check their tires' tread wear to determine if they show signs of damage and need to be replaced. That's according to a recent survey by the U.S. Tire Manufacturer's Association in partnership with Discount Tire and Ipsos. And the same survey reveals that 48 percent of drivers don't know how to check their tire pressures.
