Warmth in Alaska Means Slippery Driving

We have had a warm up in Fairbanks after a several weeks around -20F.  It will be around 20 above zero F today.  This is pretty nice for skiing and skijoring, but it has left the roads with a sheen of frost and ice.  I took off with my dogs to the trails yesterday in my Hakka 7 equipped truck.  While other trucks were fishtailing around the corners my truck with its Hakkapeliitta 7 tires held the road.  It felt like I had Velcro on my tires!  I have never felt so secure with any tire on icy roads.
